T-ball 2010

Jenna just finished her summer season of T-ball. This year she got to join the All Star Sports T-ball league. It was not your usual teams and league. The All Star Sports instruction had the large group break up into 3 sections and then they rotated practicing, batting and fielding each scheduled evening. Perfect for her starting out! And she did so good! They got t-shirts and hats too! It is so fun to watch, and she is trying really hard too! I am positive that she enjoys it- she kept asking when the next practice would be.

She was super excited for final evening awards night too. She has tallied up quite a few ribbons, medals, a pennant, and 2 trophies- from her soccer and past t-ball seasons with the All Star Sports. She loves her trophies and was hoping that she would get another one, and especially hoping it would be one with a person on it. She was very excited to get exactly that!

On the last day the coaches also decided to have a water gun fight at the end! It was awesome! When do kids get to have a full blown water gun fight? I feel like NEVER!! And it was so fun! Zach even got in on it!

Jenna had a ball playing this season with her good friends- Kyle and Gabby. And it was wonderful getting to spend the evenings in the stands with our great friends the Knudtson's and the Shaner's. I just loved it! And now it is over... seriously I need a freeze time machine!!!

My cute little fielder!

The coaches had the kids try hitting off the pitch! Jenna did so good! She got it a couple of times!

Zach and his Best Buddy Mason - they couldn't wait for the water gunning to start! And if your getting squirted in the face- you might as well drink it! :)

She got her trophy with a person on top! Just what she was wanting!

Jenna with her best friends- Gabby, and twins Kyle and Emma.

Water gun fight!!

Get him Gabby!! And Jenna! And look out Scott!!

Jenna, Zach and Mason getting coach Josh!

Zach holding his own in the fight too!

My cutie! Having so much fun!

Jenna with Coach Josh- the greatest coach ever!!! He has been so good with her and the kids! We are so lucky to have had him over the years!!!

"puter"

Oh our Bubba. He has a super favorite toy right now. His "puter". It is a toy "laugh top" computer. Jenna got it a couple of years ago. And I remember that she really enjoyed it too. But boy do we have an addict! He is on this thing all the time!!!! And gets frustrated with it too! It is too funny! I have had to take it out of his arms after he has fallen asleep with it too. I love him!

And he is getting really good at his alphabet with it too! He recognizes his upper and lowercase letters... or maybe he has just memorized the games. Either way- he loves his "puter".

Summer Fest 2010

Jenna and Cindy tubing behind Mike's boat- along the beautiful Lake Summerset

Scott's parents have a lake house. They have had it for about 6 years now. We are so lucky!! It is totally a vacation. This year it has been wonderful! We have been so lucky with the weather! We have gotten out there twice and both times it has been fabulous!! This past time was for the annual Summer Fest celebration that the community holds. It unfortunatly has gone down the tubes "carnival" wise. But they do fireworks at night and it is a reason for us all to get out there together.

Jenna had a ball tubing. I can't remember what she called it. It took me a minute to realize what she was wanting to do. "ride the tubers" maybe is how she said it. But her wonderful Aunt Cindy is such a great sport and was all about tubing as well. So they went on Uncle Mikey's boat. And Jenna loved it!

Ashley went on her first boat ride. And really liked it too. And Zach enjoyed his first time "fishing" with his new Iron Man fishing poll.

It really was just a nice relaxing, HOT! and wonderful weekend out there! The house is coming along great! Some new floors and rearranging... it's getting there! So glad and so lucky!!

Jenna and Cindy - Day 2 of Tubing- this time I was on the boat and got to see that smile never stop!

Ash's first boat ride!

Zach playing fishing with Grandpa! He was having a ball pretending to catch the wild fishes Grandpa was reeling in for him!

7 wonderful years!

(one of my favorites... July 12, 2003)

Scott and I have been married for 7 years! As of July 12- yesterday! And boy did we celebrate it in style! Or as good as I could have wanted it!

We decided to go out Friday night- Scott's mom and sister Cindy came over to watch the kids. Wonderful of them! Definitely not easy! But getting easier. And we weren't going far. We decided dinner and a comedy club. And boy was it fun!

We ate at one of my favorite restaurants - Chili's. And then went to Zanies at Pheasant Run in St. Charles. We laughed and laughed! (the 2 drink minimum helped the evening along too!) But my cheeks totally hurt! I was massaging them during the show. And afterwords Scott said he had to massage his too- from laughing so much. And then as we were leaving we met Louie Anderson. A brush with celebrity! Later I called him Louie Armstrong. Which just makes the evening even more hilarious! And we came home to a great report of the kids!

We then spent Saturday and Sunday enjoying our weekend together home as a family. We got lots done and the weekend felt nice and long.

Monday was our actual anniversary and we celebrated with Jenna's t-ball and then playing at the park with our great friends, Eric, Gina, Gabby, Mason and baby-girl Knudtson. Then we brought some Portillo's home and then watched our wedding video. It was the greatest! We hadn't watched it in about 7 years! ;) It was so fun seeing how people have changed a bit. And nice to see our grandparent's who have passed. :) But it was just so fun to relive the wonderful night we had! I actually was slightly embarrassed at how obviously happy and overjoyed I was throughout it. I guess it was my wedding day and all!

Jenna and Zach lost interest even before the reception part of it- and I even fast forwarded most of the church part! I went in to tell her that there was dancing- and she replied "It is just so long!!!!" Too funny!

Afterward Scott and I both agreed that it was really fun to watch it. And he said how he liked how happy I was through it. Like I said- it was pretty obvious I was having the time of my life!!

So I would say it was a pretty fantastic 7 year anniversary!! 3 kids later- I'd say we are doing good!

Jenna (with Zach's help) set up our table for our anniversary- she said we could just have a dinner there instead of going out (Friday morning before our date night)

She put a flower and a shell and a rock at our places

And they had entertainment for us too (Scott was at work unfortunately- it was so sweet!) She was singing a made up song that included the words "love, family, romance, married..." it was the sweetest thing- right out of the parent trap! :)

Recap- Father's Day 2010

The greatest Daddy in the World! With his babies!

I have to mention this wonderful day and tradition. Of course because my kids have the greatest Daddy ever. And my Daddy and Scott's Dad's are pretty wonderful too. So it is so nice to have a weekend devoted to them! But also it is our annual chance to go and visit the farm that my Mom grew up at and I feel like I grew up there too. My Uncle Rick (my Mom's youngest brother) lives there now, with my Aunt Deb and my cousin Matt. They have changed the place quite a bit- but you can't change it too much!

Father's Day has been spent at the farm for quite a few years now. It has gone from a pool party, fish fry to now a bonfire/weenie roast celebration. And this past year was a beautiful evening. The temperature was nice- with a nice breeze, so we were really able to enjoy our time outside. The kids just run and run. And swing on the hammock.

We went on an adventure across the road into the sheds to look for some kittens. And we found one- the cutest thing ever!!! The kids loved it! And I loved that my grandma was with us enjoying it all too!

Jenna was the s'more queen! She kept making them- but really didn't want to eat them- and she kept dumping them off on me... I took them....

It was a wonderful time at the farm!

Then on the actual Father's Day sunday- we spent it at Scott's mom and dad's house. It was real nice and relaxing. Scott and his brother worked on changing the breaks on our van. And I vacuumed it all out. It was great to get some things done too! I then found an old badminton set in the garage. So we opened it up and had some fun! Jenna loved it and really tried hard!

It was a super great weekend! I love father's day!

Fun with the Hammock! Scott swinging Jenna, Olivia, & Sydney- with Jack and Zachary watching.

My Aunt Janine and my Mom walking their mom- my Grandma to go searching for the kittens. This is were they grew up! And my grandma raised them.

The sweetest little kitty!

Being silly on the farm!

S'mores anyone??

Sparkler fun! Olivia was so happy we brought them! So cute!

Recap- Ashley's Baptism, May 23, 2010

I need to back up a bit here. I definately need to document a few of our great achomplishments and happenings here in the Boynton Family. And Ashley's beautiful Baptism needs to be represented FOR SURE!

It was a gorgeous day! And it just all fell into place perfectly. I unfortunately cut the guest list down quite a bit compared to our usual Boynton parties. I mostly feel bad taking up so many of peoples precious weekends!! And really just with my siblings and Scott's and parents and grandparents- we have quite a party anyway.

Ashley's Godparents are my brother Douglas and my cousin Karen. Perfect! She is very lucky!

The day started out wonderfully- I decided to have Jewel do the work for me! Sandwich trays and cake from there made the event so stress free! Unfortunately not cheap! But soooo worth it! We even made it to church on time and had seats all together near the front. It was a great mass and the kids did great! Unfortunately we are not at church often- can I even say that? The last Zach was in Church was his baptism...I think and am pretty sure.

The baptism itself was great. Ashley did wonderfully and Jenna and Zach got to participate some too. Scott's sister Cindy did a reading and Jenna joined her at the podium. And then Zach and Jenna got to put their hands in the baptismal waters to help bless it. Very nice.

Then we enjoyed the hot day back at our place! Which was hot- but ok to be outside. Sprinkler for the kids and we're good! :) I tried to keep Ashley in her dress as long as I could! She just looked so beautiful... plus it was great because I got it for a great price and really shopped around for it. It was perfectly light weight enough too.

I can't thank the Lord and everyone enough for giving us such a perfect day for our baby girl!

This is the picture I used for Ashley's Baptism Invitation- 7 months old.

Do you see her? So cute! And thank you Auntie Cindy!

This is one of those pictures that I am so glad to have... I think it is just beautiful!

Perfect picture!

Bubbles, Sprinkler... we like to party! Especially with our cousin and MY God son Jack!

Passed out after a wonderful day... and Go Blackhawks!

Summer 2010- at least up until July!

It's Summer!!

Slip-n-slide fun with Daddy today!

What a wonderful life I have! I love that it is so busy that I have no time to blog! And really I have been trying to not spend so much time on the computer. I sometimes think "I could be playing Barbies with Jenna right now... or anything with Zach or Ashley" I really do need to work on appropriate computer usage time. Like right now! Zach and Ashley are resting so sweetly- and Jenna is out running erands with Scott. Nice Daddy/Daughter time. :)

Let's see... what have we been up to? I was actually just thinking today how much I like being so busy. It really makes me feel like we are living life to it's fullest and having fun fun fun! Last night we had a blast - we went to the Taste of Lombard Festival. We have tried to go every year since we have lived in the area. And I think we have! I was just recalling last night how we had my parents and siblings up the first year we were here. It was a blast! The kids loved riding rides and even played a game to win a Nemo plush fish toy, which they love. And we even stuck around and listened to a great band. Jenna quoted to me.. "This is the best night EVER!" makes me smile just thinking of her saying that!

Jenna just completed her swim lessons of this summer. She did soooo good! This was the first that she had "real" lessons. The past couple of years have been practicing and playing in the smaller wading pool. This year she was in the big pool and really worked on swimming and floating. She did amazing! She tried so hard and succeeded! I couldn't be prouder! She really enjoyed it and so did I. I am sad that it is over- we had so much fun. And she is becoming a great swimmer too!

Here she is! Using her arms and legs to swim!

She is also playing T-ball. It is a step above her instructional t-ball she has done the past few years. This time they are doing it in game like instruction. She has a shirt and hat. And we have been practicing at home too. She is doing really good at it too! The practicing at home helps. And I love doing it with her. It reminds me of my Dad practicing with me when I was young. I really love softball and I look forward to her playing and hopefully me coaching her too! We will see...

Running fast to third!

Zach- my little monster! He is loving life! He quoted today "I love this pool" and "I love this sandwich" (but then he didn't eat it...) He is such a crack up! Everything he says- just is hilarious! I am sure every parent thinks the same thing of their 2 year olds! He has been doing great at swimming. And has been using the potty chair successfully- here and there. I am hoping this next week to be in full swing training mode... underwear only (accept sleep). He can be so sweet and a beast at the same time. That boy.

My guy enjoying our pool in our "backyard" (his favorite place!)

And Ashley- I called Zach the monster- she is a mini-monster! She is crawling like a pro. Started just shy of her 9 month day. About 3 weeks ago- and now she is climbing up everything! And bonking her head on everything too. She is so cute standing up in her bed now. Just a big girl! She is eating everything in site too! I am still nursing her- and plan too for a few more months. She is my baby...

Pulling herself up to stand on everything! Look at those little red knees too!

My monsters! And Ashley is too little to be standing!!!

We have been enjoying our membership to our pools and our back yard pool as well. My mom found/garbage picked a sand table- and the kids have been having a blast with it too. Of course there isn't enough hours in the day... maybe there would be more if I could get out of bed earlier! But it's summer!!!!

The sand table in it's first use...now it is just trashed...but enjoyed!

Loving summer!
